User Interface Designer
The goal of user interface design is to empower the customer so they feel confident and happy when using your software application. To facilitate the customer's needs and requirements when using your software a user interface designer such as myself will adopt an approach called user-centered design - design centered on the individual user's abilities and goals.
Types of Interaction
As an experienced user interface designer my designs are used on many different devices including mobile devices, kiosk and installations, desktop and online software applications, such as websites, quizzes and administration interfaces.
Every device device requires a unique approach to user interface design due to the physical attributes of the device. For example, a basic mobile phone has no mouse and a very limited keyboard featuring around 12 buttons whereas a desktop computer has both a mouse and full keyboard. When designing for a particular device there is no 'one size fits all', each device needs a tailored user interface design that maximizes interactions with your system.
Track Record
I have designed and developed user interfaces for both UK and international clients including Nesta Futurelab, Champs-Elysées Inc and other professional organisations with interfaces ranging from touch screen information navigation to subscription management and fulfillment systems.
